Hello families and prospective families,
Thank you for your interest in our school.
Located in the heart of Cambridge, the learning capital of the world, Saint Peter School (SPS) is a diverse community of learners and educators devoted to living out the Gospel message. SPS provides a rigorous, faith-based educational experience for students K1–8. With a dedicated science lab, art room, music studio, and computer technology center, SPS’s facilities and innovative curriculum equip students for lifelong academic success. Our 1:1 Chromebook program also ensures that our students are expert digital learners, able to move seamlessly between in-person classroom instruction and robust remote learning. Finally, our teachers are among the best and brightest in Massachusetts, with nearly 85% of our faculty holding Master’s or doctoral degrees.
In addition to offering peerless academic opportunities, we are proud proponents of what the Jesuits call “cura personalis,” or “care for the whole person.” Outside of the classroom, our students engage in a variety of extracurricular activities, ranging from athletics and student government to theater and social justice ministry. Weekly liturgy and thoughtful religious education form our students into servant leaders and global citizens, charged with love of God and neighbor.
SPS also celebrates the role of parents as the primary educators of their children. At SPS, we engage and involve our families in everything that we do. Our active Parent Association organizes regular community-building events, and dedicated “Room Parents” are a constant source of inspiration and support for our students and teachers.
If you are interested in learning more about the remarkable things happening at SPS, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are always happy to have parents tour our school, observe our classrooms, or meet with our staff. In the meantime, know that we are praying for you and your families.
Saint Peter has more than 25 full and part-time faculty committed to educating the heart, mind, and soul of each student. Our robust professional development programs ensure that our teachers are lifelong learners, constantly striving for excellence. Eighty-four percent of our teachers hold advanced degrees; two teachers have earned Ph.Ds.
