Brendan O'Connor, Grade 5-8 Social Studies
My Hobbies - When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading, walking around my hometown or Downtown Boston, relaxing at the Cape, and watching television. While comedies tend to be my favorite, I particularly enjoy watching classic game shows from the 1970s and 1980s, such as Match Game, Password, and Pyramid.
Education - BA in History with a minor in Secondary Education, Stonehill College (2014)
Masters in Education, Curriculum and Teaching, Fitchburg State University (2016)
My Path to SPS - I started my career in my hometown of Dedham, working as a teacher’s aide and eventually a 7th grade Social Studies Teacher at the middle school. After that, I was blessed to be at St. Mary’s Jr./Sr. High School in Worcester, teaching everything from 7th grade Geography to A.P. U.S. History. I am thrilled to join the St. Peter community!
"I am excited to join the SPS community because of the close-knit, family-oriented community. When everyone (teachers, parents, administrators, and students) work together, amazing things can happen!"
Interesting fact about me - I come from a very big family in which I am the youngest of 6 children!
