Saint Peter School is looking for applicants for the following positions this coming school year ('24-'25 - see positions below); teaching positions will begin late-August 2024. These are full-time positions with benefits (except where indicated), including 401k, health/dental, life insurance, daily hot lunch, and very competitive salaries relative to other similar schools. Teachers at SPS are responsible for creating and implementing daily lesson plans, coordinating with other faculty members to create a comprehensive curriculum under the direction of the administration, flexibly addressing student needs, and supportive and positive classroom environment. This is an on-site role located in Cambridge, MA.

Grade 4 Homeroom Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th Grade Homeroom Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create engaging lesson plans, integrate Catholic faith into instruction, and foster a supportive classroom environment. As the primary instructor our 4th grade cohort, you will be responsible for instruction in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Religion. Qualified applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred), possess prior teaching experience with elementary students, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, foster a sense of enthusiasm for 5th grade teaching, and demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Catholic faith.

Library and Technology Specialist (All Grades)

Are you passionate about fostering a love for reading and technology in young minds? Our newly renovated school library is seeking a dedicated Library and Technology Specialist to spearhead its development. We're looking for an experienced individual who thrives in organizing library resources tailored to K-8 students, creating an engaging atmosphere, and effectively collaborates with teachers to provide resources and education related to the libary. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in curating diverse collections, implementing technology programs, and collaborating with our teachers to integrate literacy and digital skills into the curriculum. The ideal candidate for this position should have a Bachelor's degree in Library Science or Education, prior experience in primary school library organization, proficiency in educational technology tools, strong collaboration and communication skills, and a passion for promoting literacy and technology.
Science Specialist Teacher (Elementary)

Are you passionate about teaching science concepts to young minds? Saint Peter School is currently hiring a science specialists covering the elementary grade cohort (grades 1-4). As a Science Specialist at Saint Peter School, your main responsibility is to provide high-quality instruction in the subject of science. You will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans using our provided Curriculum (Amplify Science) that align with state and national science standards, as well as integrating Catholic values into the curriculum. You will work closely with classroom teachers to ensure that science instruction complements other subjects and contributes to students' overall learning experience. Qualifications for this position include a teaching certificate or related experience, a Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or teaching experience in the sciences, and geniuine enthusiasm for science education.

Qualifications for Teaching at Saint Peter School:

Catholic in good standing, particularly for elementary homeroom positions; not required in non-ministerial positions.
Elementary/Middle/High School Education Experience, depending on position; experience in Catholic education is a plus.
Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all learners
Interest in engaging students intellectually and supporting growth academically, socially/emotionally, and in their faith.
Excellent time management skills and strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
A Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field, a teaching certification, or teaching experience as lead teacher in a classroom setting.
