Undergraduate Degree: Illinois State University, Art Education

Certification: MA DESE, Educator’s License, Visual Art Grades (PreK-8) and (5-12)

Art Projects: I enjoy working in all mediums, but especially hand building ceramic sculptures. I illustrated several independent comics as well as many commissioned illustrations of dragons. More recently my focus is on large scale projects. In 2020 I painted a large mural for a karate dojo and in 2021 I’ve been creating custom murals for children’s bedrooms as well as some public art displays!

Experience: My true calling is teaching and for the past 20 years I taught in schools, camps, art programs, private sessions, and running classes in my art studio. The toughest but most rewarding school so far was an inner city school in Baltimore, MD. I enjoy helping children and adults alike discover their creativity and self-expression!

Fun Fact: I know how to unicycle!

"Art and music were real saving graces to me as a child and I believe in the power of arts education to enrich all children and even save children who have struggles."

Hobbies: Most of my time is spent at home with my husband, two small children, dog and fluffy cat. Some of my other favorite activities are outdoor adventures, martial arts, and singing Catholic hymns as loudly as possible in Mass. But you can usually find me with a pencil in hand; working on the next art project.
