Dr. Alison MacAdams, Grades 7-8 ELA
Interesting fun fact about me -
I’m half Brazilian and grew up in beautiful Rio de Janeiro. I went to high school in Paris, France, and spent time in Florence, Italy, studying. I have a long career in education and was a college professor for several years (Composition, World Literature, Italian, Portuguese, Education, and History); however, I am having the most fun teaching at Saint Peter School!
Education - Université de la Sorbonne (Cours de civilisation française), Brandeis University (B.A. in Romance Languages and Comparative Literature with a Minor in Italian Studies)
Brandeis University, M.A. and Ph.D. - Interdisciplinary Program in Literary Studies
Certifications - Best Practices for Online and Hybrid Teaching, Regis College
Path to SPS - My daughter is an SPS alum (class of 2019)! I’ve been involved with SPS for a long time!
"My students! I look forward to going to work because I have such a great time teaching! It’s a joy getting to know them and helping them develop their skills and interests."
Hobbies outside of school - Reading, writing, learning about new technology and gadgets. I love learning and in 2023 spent a month in Tokyo studying Japanese (don’t ask me about kanji, though…).
