Scott Durrwachter, Grades 2,4,6&8 Science
Path to SPS:
Mr. Durrwachter grew up in NY, spending lots of time in his father's 7th grade life science class, and adopting all the class animals as his own pets (Tarantulas, snakes, geckos, fish, you name it....).
HIs love of learning has taken him to 49 of the 50 United States, including living in California for 10 years. In California he taught outdoor education (Using a small national park as a classroom for students from all over the San Francisco Bay Area), managed the facilities department of the Bay Area Discovery Museum (building exhibits, art installations, and a STEAM Lab), and taught at St Hilary School.
In his spare time he enjoys long hikes and camping with his wife (Mallory) and their dog (Arlo), traveling, photography, woodworking, building, cooking, writing, playing sports, fixing and riding motorcycles, and absorbing all the information he can on any and every topic available.
