Undergraduate Degree - Northeastern University, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance; Magna Cum Laude Graduate.

SPS activities - I teach the after school yoga club and also a yoga and wellness elective.
Hobbies outside of school - Running, yoga, music, photography and being a beach bum.
Interesting fun fact about me - I am a certified scuba diver who loves the experience of a night dive which is scary but worth all the amazing beauty of the glowing phosphorescence.
What inspired me to become a teacher - I feel like teaching chose me through my innate passion for knowledge, passion for teaching and passion for kids. My teaching style is from the heart. I left a successful 29 year career in financial services to follow my vocation as a yoga teacher by opening my own studio, Some Yoga Studio in Somerville. I began teaching by volunteering to lead kids/family yoga at local schools and saw the profound impact my classes had on even the youngest of students who immediately reported feeling stronger, more empowered, calmer, more focused and greater self-confidence all while having fun. It’s a privilege to be of service, helpful to others, bring community together and inspire people to lead healthier lifestyles. It’s true when you find your purpose and do what you love you never work a day in your life.
"Being around the kids at SPS is like staying close to the sunshine...there is a lot of warmth.”
Favorite memory at SPS - The very first time a group of my young students run up and hugged me when they saw me in the cafeteria.
