Dear Parents of St. Peter School,

As the long days of the summer arrive in Cambridge, St. Peter School is preparing in earnest for the arrival of your children.  First of all, thank you for sending your sons and daughters to St. Peter School.  We are grateful for the opportunity to work with your children. Thank you for also recognizing our high educational standards set for student achievement.

As for the rest of the summer, I do hope you might find the time to learn ways to help support St. Peter School through sharing your talent and gifts through the Parents’ Association (PA). The PA works with the Director of Advancement to organize the School year’s events and activities.

All parents are automatically members of the Parents’ Association. The PA encourages parents to participate as volunteers or attendees as much as possible. The PA helps plan a variety of activities throughout the year including the Oktoberfest, Annual Gala & Auction, International Night, Golf Classic, Catholic Schools Week, and Faculty Appreciation Lunch.  

The PA meets with the Principal, Director of Advancement, and/or other teacher/staff members at least a week in advance to plan for the monthly PA meeting. The regular meetings are usually the first Wednesday of the month at 8 am in the Lower Parish Hall.  

If you would like to volunteer for the 2018-19 school year, please contact Mrs. Kathy Flynn at the Main Office to fill out the current CORI application form. A form of identification is required – Passport or Driver’s License.

In addition, please contact Rebecca Susi, PA Co-Chair, if you would like to be a Room Parent.  All commitments needs to be confirmed by the end of September 2018.

This is the first of many communications you can expect to receive from me about the vibrant education and events offered for all St. Peter School students.  For now, let me simply welcome you and your family with my very best wishes.
